These are the most common questions admins have when building and managing Learning Modules and Assignments in the ProPortal.
Can I add an entire course to a module at once?
Yes. Click the + symbol next to a course title to select all episodes in that course at once. You can then deselect individual episodes by clicking the checkmark next to any episode you want to remove.
How far out can I set an assignment due date?
You can set a due date as far out as you need, but shorter, focused assignments tend to drive better engagement. Consider how many hours per week is realistic for your team and build your due dates from there. Many courses contain 10+ hours of content, so breaking them into sections with achievable timelines helps keep learners on track.
Can I make changes to a module after it's been created?
The only edits allowed after creation are to the Assignment Name and Description. Content selections cannot be changed once the module is created, so take your time during setup.
Can I reuse a Learning Module with different due dates?
Yes. You can assign the same module to different users or teams with different due dates at any time.
Will prior viewing count toward a new assignment?
Yes. Any content a learner has already viewed before being assigned will automatically count toward their assignment progress.
Note: Viewing content after an assignment's due date has passed will not count toward that assignment's progress.
Can I edit the due date after an assignment is created?
No. Due dates cannot be changed after an assignment is created. If you need to extend a timeline, create a new assignment with the updated due date.
Can I assign Virtual Labs and Practice Tests?
This feature is not yet available within assignments but is planned for a future release. Practice Tests and Virtual Labs are currently accessible directly through the relevant courses.
